A Week with Jacob

Image
Jacob has had the month of August off from his daycare and will begin again in Monday is the bigger Preschool class!  This week, it has only been Jacob and us while his brother's enjoyed school.  We have had a fun time having Jacob around and giving him some extra attention. He was a good boy to play while I studied in the morning.  He really enjoyed Play Doh and making animal shapes with the cookie cutters. Love this picture and love this boy! He also spent some time coloring.  He played very well by himself during the morning hours while Hap and I studied or did language. One day he went to help his dad get the car alarm repaired and pay some bills.  The firefighter had to have a snack in his back tank for his morning out! He has enjoyed the extra attention this week and we have enjoyed giving it to him!  He is getting so big.

Another Birthday

Image
On Saturday Jacob had a joint birthday party with his friend, Karis.  They are just four days apart and are best of friends, so it was only right to have a joint train/Frozen party.  I didn't get many pictures of the night and didn't get any good pictures of the birthday kids together! I made another cake to enjoy.  Blowing out three candles is hard! He was blessed with lots of nice gifts from friends. It was fun for the kids to play together and for the adults to visit.  Can't believe our "babies" are 3! Our internet isn't working well... scroll back from more pictures over the last few days!

Twin Talk: 20 Weeks

Image
(Over) halfway to meeting these twins and all I know is my belly is growing! I'm feeling good and enjoying feeling the babies move about inside my belly.  They are active little people and I look forward to the day I can kiss those four little feet that I feel! Happy 20 weeks!

First Day of School

Image
Saturday was the first day of school for Sam and Andrew.  They were both very excited to get back into the routine of school and to see their friends! Sam is entering the 2nd grade. Andrew is entering Kindergarten.  Despite his picture, he was VERY excited. There, that is better! The boys are excited to be at the same campus this year, though they are in different buildings. Andrew walked right into his classroom and took a seat.  He has the same teacher that Sam had during Kindergarten and was very excited.  When he came home from school, he was also very excited that his friend Sammy was in his class.  He said "I heard my name being called and when I turned around I saw Sammy behind me.  I said "SAMMY!" and then we held hands!!" I think this is going to be another great year for Andrew. Sam also walked into his classroom and took a seat in the back of the class.  We learned on the first day of scho...

3rd Birthday for Jacob

Image
Today was Jacob's 3rd birthday!   He wanted a train cake and to play!  He had both today :) This morning after breakfast he opened his presents and his multiple cards!  He received two new trains from his brothers.  He knew their names, even though they were in another language! He opened a tractor storage toy from Grandma Jessica and Papa. Then received his very own worker man and work equipment to play with his brothers.  He was excited about the worker man mainly! These boys love each other! He asked for a train cake and was excited to help make it with me and to see the train on top. Jacob Mark, you are precious to us! Jacob is such a sweet little man!  He loves to do what he sees his brothers doing.  His imagination is great and enjoys being part of the fire brigade with Sam and Andrew.  He eats practically anything and is laid back. Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like fireworks! ...

Weekend of Food

Image
When I planned my meals for the weekend, I realized that they were all new recipes from Pinterest.  I'll show you what we ate this weekend! First recipe was crockpot Orange chicken.  It was a hit with everybody. On Saturday morning I tried an overnight baked french toast recipe.  Powdered sugar is different here so I finally used some of the powdered sugar that a team brought from the States. Hap and I liked the baked french toast but the boys didn't care for it.  Well, they liked the french toast but they didn't like the powdered sugar. For lunch I made pretzel dogs.  They were a little labor intensive but maybe were the biggest hit with the boys all weekend!  I think I am going to make some and send in their lunches this coming school year.  (They kinda look gross in this picture but I did learn that I should have wrapped them in a thinner layer of pretzel dough before boiling and baking.) On Sunday we ate crockpot taco bo...

Twin Talk

Image
Today the twins are each the size of a sweet potato!   I had a doctor's appointment at the beginning of the week and they are both measuring right for their gestational age.  It is amazing to see the changes in growth from the first ultrasound to this past ultrasound, especially since I get an ultrasound every time I see the doctor.  I didn't get a good picture of Baby B but did of sweet potato Baby A for our viewing pleasure! And here are the two sweet potatoes in my belly at 18 weeks... time flies when you're growing twins!
