Robots

Image
On Sunday the boys built with the mega blocks some "robots".  They love to use their imaginations and build.  They are love these blocks and their Legos.  It is fun to see them create with their minds! These three are so amazing and we are so thankful for these three boys!

Twin Talk: 14 Months

Image
The twins turn 14 months old today and this is what they have been up to this week!! Abram had his hair cut Tuesday night!  He did MUCH better than we thought, as he is scared of strangers.  And, if you remember, this barber helped with Abram's circumcision.... kinda full circle if you will :) SO BIG! What a handsome boy! And Abigail continues to like to be right by mom and dad.  She is friendly with people but during the day, she likes to play in the same room I am working in.  But with this sweet face of course I don't mind! This girl is into her dolls.  Today she was talking with them and shaking her head at them. And sitting on them.  I promise, she doesn't learn that from me haha! You might have seen this picture from earlier in the week with Abigail loving on my old Cabbage Patch doll.  My heart melted onto the floor when I saw this! The babies today at 14 months. Big smile from A...

Phone Photos

Image
I take pictures on my phone during the week and forget to blog about those pictures. On Wednesday I went with two friends to visit a mutual friend.  It was such a lovely time and she showed us their beehives that they use to gather the honey and sell for income.  I have never seen how bees work before and hearing her talk about it was fascinating.  They have 25 boxes of hives and get 60-70 kg of honey every couple months.  That's a lot of honey! Her house is way out and the view is incredible. Hap rigged up a new tire swing for the boys outside that they are enjoying. The weather has been well above average for this time of year and we have taken full advantage of the outside play time before the rain moves in next week. The babies LOVE to be outside.  Abram explores everywhere he can. Lookin' cool Andrew! Abigail does like being outside but crawled up to sit by her brother and couldn't figure out how to get herself out of that ...

Happy Valentine's Day

Image
Today we had our 2nd annual Valentine's Day Breakfast.  I decorated for the "party" last night after the boys went to sleep. We played Valentine Bingo and the boys really enjoyed it! Andrew declared that this was 'the best Valentine's Day ever' and his brothers agreed. We ate eggs, homemade strawberry donuts, and pink juice. The rest of the day was spent doing things we love.... taking naps, playing outside, going to a playground, exercising, and ending the day with Hap cooking on the grill.   The boys were talking about how great the day was before bed and Hap even said he is now a believer in Valentine's Day haha!!  It is fun to make a simple day like today extra special for the kids. I will post a picture of the babies tomorrow, it is on my phone :) Love to all and Happy Valentine's Day!

Our Week

Image
These two are busy little ones and this is a rare picture to have them both looking and smiling!  Cuties :) Abigail LOVES to have blankets on her head and will crawl around with them on her head.  She also likes to be covered up and I checked on her during a nap this week and didn't see her under her covers!! The boys built a castle for their Play Mobil guys with their mega blocks. And even though the boys try to keep the twins out, Abram has figured out a trick!  haha! A glimpse of our week!

Here and There and Everywhere

Image
Here, there, and everywhere would describe Abram right now!  He is walking and getting around so well.  Last week we had two nice days of weather before three days of downpours.  Knowing this, I took the babies to the zoo to get out of the house one morning for a couple hours.  I let Abram out of the stroller and he enjoyed his freedom. The babies particularly enjoyed looking at the prairie dog exhibit and the meerkats because they were very active and fun to watch.  Abigail didn't want to go back into the stroller and so we found a grassy spot to play on and watch the train roll by. The weather was AMAZING! Miss Abigail is standing all the time and taking steps but she isn't quite to the walking all the time stage. I don't know who is looking at who at the chimpanzee exhibit ;) Earlier in the week Sam received an invitation for a birthday party for his classmate Veronica.  He was really excited about going all week but ended up a t...

Valentine's Party

Image
Today I was happy to host a Valentine party for ladies from our fellowship here.  A little back story is that at the beginning of January I spoke with the pastor's wife and asked about having a party.  She said it sounded like a good idea and we could talk about dates at another time.  So last week I spoke with her again and she held a little impromptu meeting with the ladies and they all agreed with was way too cold to have a party.  She said maybe we could have it in two months when it is spring.  That was last Thursday... fast forward to last Sunday- 3 days ago- and I received a phone call saying that the weather would be nice on Wednesday and the ladies could come to my house then!  I agreed and we were on to host a party. I didn't know how many ladies would come but I ended up with 10 ladies.  The great thing is they were from college aged students to ladies in their 60's, it was so exciting to see them arriving.  I had decorated the hou...
