Big Day

Image
The babies have had a big day already and it is only noon here!!  Since they were small and twins, the doctor wanted them to have hip ultrasounds to verify that they didn't have hip dysplasia, or improperly formed hip joints.  We went to the local children's hospital this morning for hip ultrasounds on both of them and everything looked just fine.  We were again thankful for their great health. On the way back from the hospital, we stopped in at a doctor who performs circumcisions.  Because of the Jewish custom of circumcisions being performed on the eighth day, circumcision was not an option for us in the hospital.  The pediatrician recommended after a month of age so that Abram would be smaller. I went in while Hap and the twins waited in the car.  The doctor's office was clean and small.  The location is a few store fronts down from the barber that we use for the guys in our house! I introduced myself and told him about Abram.  He said...

Everyday Life

It seems since I don't blog as regularly as I did before the twins were born, I have so many pictures to post at one time.  So here goes. Last week Hap needed to get some work done at the house.  So, I took some of the kids to the zoo... Sam didn't want to join us. Jacob riding the alligator statue. This was our first outing with the new limo stroller!  It worked great.  And riding the turtle.  Andrew and Jacob had so much fun together. Andrew wanted a picture by "my nice bears!"  ha. We had a wonderful time. Then the next day, our day off, we took a little trip to the beach for a picnic and relaxation.  It is like a big sand box because the water was much to cold to swim in for long, however the boys did get in right before we left.  It was such a fun day! Trying for a family picture.  Unfortunately, my camera wouldn't focus so this is the best one that isn't blurry.  Life...

Twin Talk: 1 Month

Image
Today our sweet twins turn 1 month old! Abram,  You are such a precious gift!  You are a laid back little guy.  You like to be cuddled but you are also very content to lay under the play mat and look at toys.  You enjoy being on your tummy and have even napped a few times in that position.  You are a great nurser and don't prefer your pacifier at all!  You rarely cry and when you do, it is a hoarse, sad cry.  Your brother's love you more than you know and always want to kiss you, you have great big brothers!  We are so thankful for you and are so glad you are now our baby boy, Abram! Oh Abigail, we could never have imagined having a baby girl but we are so very thankful that God choose us to be your parents.  You are so alert and enjoy looking around, that is if you are in our arms.  You don't like being flat on your back but really enjoy the  bouncy chair and will nap well in that chair as well.  You like to cuddle ...

More mix and match of pictures from my camera and from Jessica's camera! There is nothing sweeter than cuddling with the two babies after they are finished nursing.  They are so cuddly and lovable! It has been cold and rainy some afternoons.  On this particular afternoon, Jessica and Sam played a spelling game he received for Christmas. Who wants a baby burrito?  Or sancho if you prefer Chico's! The babies had a doctor's appointment this week and checked out well. Abigail weighs 5 lbs 15 oz and Abram weighs 6 lbs 1 oz.  They both have grown longer and measure 18.5 inches Love these wide awake babies! Big blue eyes, our sweet little lady! Mr. Handsome, laid back Abram. The boys love peppers but here Sam is being a pepper tree ;) Daddy and his girl.  Hap said the other morning while dressing Abigail "girl, I like all this pink stuff!" Cuddling with Abram. Holding Abigail  Hands full, hear...
