Andrew is 1 month old!! He is such a sweet, great baby. We are blessed to have him in our family! Andrew at 1 month: - He spends most of his days in the swing. - Eats every two hours during the day. - Gets up twice a night and goes right back to sleep after eating. - Sleeps most of the day, but has been more alert the last few days. - Starting to "coo". - Loved, loved loved.

Illinois.Trip.

Last Friday, Sam, Andrew and I headed to Illinois to visit while Hap headed to West Virginia for a white-water rafting trip. All of us had a nice weekend. We first headed to Patoka. This was Andrew's first trip to Illinois and he met alot of new family, including Uncle Jay, Aunt Jennifer and Cousins Hunter and Beau. He is looking forward to getting outside and playing with them:) Andrew also met Hap's Aunt Mindy. They are obviously having a deep converstion here:) Gigi loving on Andrew. Uncle Jay and Andrew. On Saturday in Salem, Jennifer, Joe, Michael and Catherine came over for a visit. The kids enjoyed a beautiful day playing outside. They loved playing together and being pushed in a wheelbarrel by Grandpa Purcell. Another big first this weekend, Joe was introduced to Chico's:) Andrew also met Great Grandma Rose. Sam learned to say Grandma Rose and enjoyed a walker ride:) We enjoyed our beautiful weekend in Illinois. The boys did pretty well in the car. Hap en...

Little.Boy

That is what we call Andrew because we call Sam our big little boy! However, Andrew is getting to be a big boy! His 4 week stats: Weight 9lb 7oz (50%) Length 22in (75%) I guess every two hour nursings will do that to a kid! I will get our Illinois trip pictures posted either later today or tomorrow!

Today we had some more visitors to play with Sam and meet Andrew. Jessica is a co-worker, I have some GREAT co-workers whom I miss! Jessica brought her super cute daughter, Addison, who is just a few days older than Sam. Sam's busyness might have scared Addison!! It was fun to see them and to grab lunch. Hope they come back soon. The kiddos cheesing it up before lunch:) (Loving the cheese faces) Andrew is three weeks old today and enjoyed some tummy time this morning while I was getting ready. Love this little guy:) "How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness." Psalm 116:12

We have had a busy, fun two days. Yesterday, Becky and Ethan came for the day to visit us and meet Andrew. Needless to say, Sam was in heaven with the two babies around! It was fun to see Ethan again, he has grown SO much since I saw him. This afternoon, we had fun with Micah while his brother had some corn removed from his nose:) Sam and Micah are so funny together and they were cracking me up. They are good buddies and we will miss them next year when they move away... but in the meantime we will enjoy the friendship! They love eachother:) And Andrew, well he just chilled in his swing.

State.Fair.

On Tuesday night we went to the State Fair. It was so fun to spend that time together as a family. This was the first year Sam could really enjoy the fair and we think he did. It was perfect weather and there was not many people there, which was a bonus!! We started off in the cattle barn, and he wasn't so sure of the cows. He also didn't want to feed the goats, so Hap had the pleasure of feeding them. They have so many hands on things for little ones and Sam enjoyed climbing on the tractors and playing with the interactive exhibits. Andrew pretty well slept the entire time but did enjoy a stop at the Lacation Station:) Sam enjoyed seeing the horses mostly. He liked waving at them and saying "Hello Horse." I don't know what he thought of the pig barn, as I didn't want to enter and get the swine flu!! He did warm up to the cattle barn at the end and even was brave enough to pet some baby calves, after giving them a stare down first. Like I said, And...

Just some random pictures from the last few days and today. I did not get my computer out all weekend, so sorry for the lack of postings. Andrew is doing well. He is a great baby so far and Sam is doing great with him!! We feel so blessed.

One.Week.

Andrew is one week tonight! Andrew is one week old today and growing sweeter by the day! He has been so far a great baby, who enjoys his swing and likes to sleep. The home health nurse came today to check out Andrew and myself. Andrew weighed in at 7lb5oz, almost back to birth weight. Sam was super interested in what the nurse was doing to his baby brother!! Sam has been a great big brother so far. He is struggling at night to go to sleep, but once asleep is fine. Hopefully we will get back into our routines and get bedtime a little smoother once again! Grandma Betty left today. She has been such a help- cleaning, cooking, letting me rest. It has been a great three days! I have been so overwhelmed with thanksgiving today. Hap and I are so blessed to have two healthy boys. God has blessed us beyond what we deserve and we are continually thankful for the gift of Sam and Andrew!
