Illinois.Trip.

Last Friday, Sam, Andrew and I headed to Illinois to visit while Hap headed to West Virginia for a white-water rafting trip. All of us had a nice weekend.

We first headed to Patoka. This was Andrew's first trip to Illinois and he met alot of new family, including Uncle Jay, Aunt Jennifer and Cousins Hunter and Beau. He is looking forward to getting outside and playing with them:)

Andrew also met Hap's Aunt Mindy. They are obviously having a deep converstion here:)

On Saturday in Salem, Jennifer, Joe, Michael and Catherine came over for a visit. The kids enjoyed a beautiful day playing outside. They loved playing together and being pushed in a wheelbarrel by Grandpa Purcell. Another big first this weekend, Joe was introduced to Chico's:)

Andrew also met Great Grandma Rose. Sam learned to say Grandma Rose and enjoyed a walker ride:)

We enjoyed our beautiful weekend in Illinois. The boys did pretty well in the car. Hap enjoyed his weekend and even said he wouldn't mind going again sometime.

Busy Couple Days

We have had a busy couple days trying to get everything together for our trip. My mother came over the end of last week and it has been so helpful. I have been able to do errands and gather our needed supplies for the trip. I haven't taken many pictures but we have had a fun time and the boys have enjoyed their time as well. Friday we did the majority of our packing and tonight we are going to finish up. Yesterday, we enjoyed some time at a playground in the morning. In the afternoon, my mom and Sam went to see Toy Story 3 (his first big screen movie) while Hap, Andrew and myself went to a birthday party. Sam got these glasses pictured below at Wendy's yesterday and we might try and see if security stops him in the airport:) This evening we had our last team meeting and it was a wonderful time of praying and sharing about what God has been teaching us as we prepare for this trip. Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass.
