Baby.It's.Cold.Outside.

Image
Sam can't help but be outside. So after playing indoors at the mall, I bundled him up and we had a great time playing outside. Our driveway slants down and so he loves to get on this bike, lift his legs up and zoom down the hill. I have it on video but am having trouble getting it up here. It's way funny and he loves to do it:) This is just a preview of the crazy scarecrow after going to our neighbor's house and eating a snack size Milky Way! We are definitely going to have to limit the candy intake on Friday:)

Catch.Up.

Well, I realize that I haven't blogged in over a week and I do apologize. Lots of reasons, but the main reason being that I have over 900 pictures on my memory card that I need to develop and I have been going through them this past week. It has been a busy week of work, finishing up Sam's Halloween costume and getting together with friends. Here is a recap of our week in pictures... Forget Joe the Plumber... Vote Sam the Mechanic:) Sam and I met up with Laura, John and Courtney for a fun filled evening and dinner. Sam enjoyed seeing John and watching the tortilla lady! One day this past week I tried this outfit on Sam. Hap's grandmother crocheted it for Hap's future children. Apparently she found the cowboy pattern and since Hap used to be a full fledged cowboy, thought it would be cute for his children. It fit Sam perfectly. He played for a bit in it, but this is the only picture that he would wear his hat in:) Looking good cowboy! Oh how Sam loves to read. We rear...

Fall is so fun!!

New.Favorite.

Sam's new favorite toy is a tractor that my mom bought at a rummage sale. She brought it over and he loves it. He rides it everywhere, to come see us doing laundry, when we say it's time to go outside... it's so funny! Sam also enjoyed going to the zoo with my mom this past week and seeing some polar bears. It was a good time!

Watermans.Pumpkin.Patch.

Sam and I headed to the Pumpkin patch today with a group of women from work. This is our monthly get together, and this month is happened to be the "original" six that where born within 6 weeks of eachother. The kids has so much fun. Sam enjoyed walking around to see the animals and sit on the tractor. He also very much enjoyed the bounce house, until some big kids came in and sent the little ones flying!! He found a pumpkin just his size and enjoyed a nice hay ride back to the market place at Watermans. The weather was so fall-like today and it was such a fun time by all!! As promised, here are some pictures:)

Upward.Soccer.

Upward Soccer finished this last Sunday with awards night. It was a great season and Hap did an wonderful job on Sunday night. All the kids seemed to have fun and the gospel was clearly shared. I took these pictures after Upward Soccer on Saturday. Hap was trying to get the air out of the big ball and maybe having some fun too... you be the judge!

Sam.Stats.

Sam had his 15 month well child check up today and "passed" with flying colors. He had three shots today and of course didn't like those to much but was easily soothed after the nurse gave him a cherry dum-dum:) He weighs 22lbs 5 oz which is the 25% and is 30.5 in tall, which is also the 25%. Tomorrow we are heading to the pumpkin patch with all the ladies from work,so that should be fun and provide plenty of pictures!! Have a great hump day!

Vacation.Details.

Ok, here is all you would ever want to know about our vacation! Two weekends ago, Hap, Sam and I headed to Illinois to visit with family. On Sunday we headed to Brentwood, TN and went to an awesome church that Jay Strother works at. It was a great time of visiting with their family that evening. On Monday we headed to our final destination, Gatlinburg, TN! It took us fourish hours to get to our cabin from Nashville. Sam did awesome. He played with toys, looked at books and played peek-a-boo with me! He was a trooper. I already posted pictures of the cabin, but it was awesome. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Sam loved to play with his toys while Hap and I played pool. (I won't say who won the most games) On Tuesday we all went hiking. The Jablonski's let us borrow their backpack and we hiked for half a day. It was so fun and Sam enjoyed it alot. He was smiling and pointing out things along the way. At one point we were on heightened black bear alert but never sa...

15.Months.Old.

Today as I was getting Sam out of his car seat and he put his head on my shoulder, it hit me that he was such a big boy. He no longer "fits" on my chest when he sleeps like he used to, he no longer needs me to feed him because he would prefer to put the food in his mouth himself, he doesn't need my help walking or climbing for he has mastered that... he is getting so big! He is so much fun and Hap and I are constantly amazed by him and love him more eachday. Some Sam facts at 15 months... He loves to be outside and points outside saying "out". After we do go outside and we must come in he cries. Loves going on bike rides and walks. Very interested in other kids and enjoys playing with others. Loves a cold cup of milk and of course a cookie now and again. Says lots of words, that probably only we recognize. Loves kisses, giving and receiving. He is a climber!! His favorite toys are his many books, his small firetruck and his train. He loves to be read to. So swee...

Hap, Sam and I are on a little vacation together in Gatlinburg. We left on Sunday morning and headed to Nashville. We stayed the night in Brentwood and attending Brentwood Baptist Church where Jay Strother, from Salem, is a pastor. It was such an awesome service and we enjoyed visiting with Jay and Tanya afterwards. His three girls and Sam had a blast together. We left on Monday morning and headed over to Gatlinburg. Our cabin is great and it is so relaxing. Our view is great and we are enjoying being together as a family. Will post more pictures when we get the chance! Enjoy our cabin (Bearskin Memories)... we sure are!

Sam enjoyed spending some time with Hunter and Beau playing with guns. Hap enjoyed playing with the boys as well and I enjoyed talking with Jessica and Jennifer. Sam enjoyed being "shot" by the nerf gun (we won't say who was pulling the trigger). He just laughed and once stuck his belly out to be shot again!! The boys were so good and really enjoyed playing together. It was good to see everyone on Saturday in Patoka.
