Watermelon.

Image
Sam enjoying some watermelon at the church children's cookout. Would you believe I took these pictures and then put the camera away? So forgetful these days. You'll just have to trust me when I say it was a good time by all in attendance!

Of letting my kid lick the brownie spoon. And he enjoyed every minute of it, if you can't tell! (But for the record he ate really well today before he helped me make brownies haha!)

I love this picture of the boys from Sunday!

Home.Again.

Image
The boys were home tonight when I arrived home from work and it was nice to be home again (after only being gone for 13 wild hours!). Hap and Sam had a nice time playing with the cousins and visiting with the Grandparents. Sam was all over the place when he got home, and ended up getting into the pool haha!! Hope your week goes great. Happy Memorial Day!

Swimming.Pool.

This weekend Hap busted out the mini pool we have for Sam and he loved it. Of course, he just generally loves being outside and cries when we bring him in, then repeats "outsi". He enjoyed spending the day outside yesterday in the pool and hitting his baseball off the T-ball stand while daddy and I were outside. Hap put new chips down around Sam's play area and planted some wildflowers! (Sam is way to busy to look at the camera and smile!!) Last evening, we enjoyed a Mexican Fiesta at Ben and Amanda's house. It was a great time and it definately wore the boys (big and little) out! Sam liked playing with Micah and Lucas and checking Baby Caleb out. Hap and Sam headed back to Illinois to visit his family for the night and tomorrow. I work tomorrow, but they will enjoy playing with the cousins and hearing Grandpa Jolliff speak at their Memorial Day event. Here are my generaniums. I just thought they looked pretty today and took a picture. Hope you have a nice long th...

Park.Day.

Image
Sam and I met up with some old neighbors today and played in the park with them all day. The day was beautiful and the boys enjoyed the park. The highlight of the trip (at least for the boys) was the city water workers and their back hoes and gravel dump trucks!!! Sam loved the merry-go-round and kept calling it a 'wheel'. The last picture is what happens when you play at the park all morning, drive one hour and go on a long walk. Sam was OUT!!! Love this weather:)

Buddies.

Image
My (Elizabeth) parents came over for Betty's follow up appointment and Sam and I dog-sat Ned while they were at the appointment. Poor Ned probably was worn out by the time Sam walked him down the side walk and played fetch with him, not to mention the never ending saying of "Ned". Sam enjoyed the visit, if only for a few hours.

Fat.Lip.

Image
Sam had a fight with the blocks today at the nursery. Apparently he just fell into it. They came and retrieved me from church because he was bleeding and crying. He didn't much care for the ice pack we put on it and it stopped bleeding quickly. I don't know if you can really see his fat upper lip because I took this after getting home during his nap. He's tough and if it didn't happen at church, it would have happened here! So nursery worker reading this... don't worry about it:)

Week.In.Review.

Image
I don't have a picture from everyday, but since I haven't blogged all week I thought I would let you know what we have been up to this week. On Monday, my mom had her knee surgery. All went well and she only had to have a partial knee replacement done, which was an answer to prayer. Hap worked at the church and had another work night to work on the children's area. It looks so nice down there, though much work is left to be done. Tuesday, I worked all day and so did Hap. But this day marks the end of the semester for him!! whoo hoo. He has to start working on reading for him summer class, but it was nice for him to get the semester over with since he has worked so hard. Wednesday it rained and rained and rained. Sam and I spend a good part of the day at the hospital with my mom and helped her get ready for discharge. Sam has begun to love the sidewalk chalk and we were able to play outside between some rain showers. He dressed himself:) On Thursday night Hap and ...

Happy.Mothers.Day.

Image
Happy Mother's Day!! Today was a fun day. Sam and Hap gifted me with a beautiful ruby (Sam's birthstone) ring and we enjoyed a wonderful worship service that Hap preached at. He did a wonderful job. My mom has been here this weekend in preparation of her knee surgery tomorrow and my dad headed over today for the surgery tomorrow. We spent ALL afternoon playing outside and went to the local school to play on their play equipment. Sam loves being outside and loved playing with his Purcell grandparents. Like Hap said in his message today, we should all be so thankful for our mother's who nurtured us and taught us how to live. I know I am thankful for Hap's mother who helped mold him into the man he is today and so thankful for my mother to teach me how to be a mother to my children. Happy Mother's Day!

Neighbor.Norma.

Image
Our neighbor Norma is SO wonderful! Sam just loves to go to her house and visit and assist her with whatever she needs done. Last night he helped her plant some flowers and drown... errr... water the plants! Norma loves to play with Sam and Sam too loves to lead her around, especially to the swing set and water faucet. The Lord has blessed us with some wonderful neighbors.

27.Weeks.

Image
Well, only three months left until we meet this little one and I thought I would post a belly shot. I must admit that with this baby I haven't taken belly shots nearly as often as I did with Sam. Everything is going well with this pregnancy and we are getting all ready for BabyJ2's arrival. We have the nursery pretty well put together, minus the changing table that is still in Sam's room, we have names picked out (yes, for boy AND girl), I have all the neutral clothes out of the tubs and what else do you need?! Later on the blog we're going to do a baby poll for sex, weight and date, but for now, here Baby is with only 13 weeks to go:)
