Andrew started solid food on Saturday. He had sampled cereal once before, but on Saturday it was an all you could eat cereal meal! He was happy to start with... First couple bites not too bad! Just when you think he is enjoying it, out it comes:) And with Andrew getting so many pictures taken that night, Sam was patiently eating a grilled cheese saying "me picture too." So there you go! Happy Monday!

Thanksgiving.Weekend.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend, filled with seeing family, eating lots of good food and enjoying some beautiful weather for November. On Wednesday night, we had a short amount of time in Salem, so we visited Grandma Rose, hit up Rural King and visited with my parents. We could sit a talk with them for hours! Sam had a good time climbing on Jungle Gym Grandpa! We headed up to Patoka Wednesday night and spent the remainder of our time there. It was nice for it to not be a whirlwind trip like we usually have. On Thanksgiving, Andrew wasn't feeling too great but Sam was happy to see the cows (moo-moos) awake! Hap and I are SOOO thankful for these two little boys and couldn't imagine life without them! Here is the immediate Jolliff Family. Back row- Jay, Hunter, Carl, Jessica, Zeb From Row- Jennifer, Beau, Andrew, Hap, Elizabeth and Sam Unforutately, I don't have any pictures to insert here of a wild coyote hunt prior to lunch, but let's just say there is one coyote...

Here are some pictures of the playdate we had yesterday at church. Kathy provided a story and a lesson on the true story behind Thanksgiving. The boys (6 all together) made placemats to use and we all shared some goodies with our friends, just like the pilgrims and indians, while we enjoyed a PB&J sandwich together. After the meal. they made turkey cookies and enjoyed eating them! We are thankful for friends:)

Did you think that I had forgotten all about the blog? Well, not the case, just busy this week with different things. I find myself saying that this week is busy or we are going to have a busy next week (which we are) but I realize we are really always busy, but glad to be busy and involved! So, with no further delay here we go with our past week. We put Andrew in the excersaucer for the first time and he likes it. His legs are still a little short, but he'll grow into it and he likes all the contraptions on it! Sam, of course, likes it too! On Friday night, Hap and I had a date night courtesy of the Jablonski gang! Very much appreciated. Instead of your "traditional date", we opted to eat out and then head home for some Christmas music and decorating of the house (we aren't skipping Thanksgiving, but just getting a head start!). Since we are going to be out of town for the majority of the week this week and then the following week is packed with activities and fi...

School.Conference.

Image
Today we had a "parent-teacher conference" at Sam's school. I must say that Sam absolutely LOVES school and we think it has been one of the best things we have done for him. The teachers had a good report on Sam today. They said he plays nicely with the other kids, enjoys the Play-Doe table and the craft time. (See his crafts from this fall below). They also pointed out he is quick to help pick up toys and quick to head to the table when it is snack time haha!! They said that during the circle time he tends to wander to the window to look at the construction equipment and not stay seated:) So all in all, he had a good report and we are very proud of how well he is doing at school:)

Rollin'.Rollin'.Rollin'.

Andrew rolled on Friday! At the beginning of the day he wasn't able to get his arm out from under him, but after Sam showed him how to roll several dozen times, he caught on and went from back to belly! He can roll. Dear Andrew, Don't get any bigger! Love, Mommy

Me.Drive.Excavator.

Or Sam sounds something like that when he says it Sam's school is building a gym, so outside his window each Tuesday and Thursday he watches the construction site and the equipment moving around! He loves big construction things, so tonight, we walked over (and illegally trespassed and I'm hoping he doesn't get kicked out of school) and let him play on the excavator. Such fun for a Thursday night!

Big.Grins.

I'll say it again... this boy's smile makes me smile! Can't get enough of him!! Big grins for Sam too who finished strong in the coloring contest at the gym! Strong work big boy:)

Hap.Is.Home.

Whoo hoo... Hap is home! Maybe I can get him to blog about this trip, but if history repeats itself, this might be the only picture you faithful blog readers will see:) So enjoy!!
