One.Year.Checkup.

Image
Sam had his one year doctors visit today and he checked out fine. He weighs in at 18lb 11oz (5% percentile) and measures 29.5in (40%). Dr. Timmons said he was growing just right and seemed to be developementally on track. He did received three shots today, which I think was harder on me than him. He did fine though, especially after I took the Goldfish out of my purse:) She will see him again in 3 months! These pictures are from Saturday. Sam loves to look through books and be read to. If you ask him to go get a book, he will grab one and either bring it back or sit down and start looking through it!

One.Week.

The sad sad scene I found last night when Hap was "putting Sam to bed." Only one week left of the first Greek class... I am glad and I think Hap's neck will be happy for a break also:)

Hap and I have been married for four wonderful years today. We have had such a good time and will look forward to as many years as God would grant us! Happy Anniversary Hap! (Sorry about the quality of pictures. They are pictures of pictures because our CD is in a box!)

HAPPY.TUESDAY.

Ok, so I probably shouldn't encourge this behavior by taking a picture of him standing on the dishwasher lid, but it was so cute and the first time I have been able to catch him do it. He has done this before and I think he is going to be a climber!! He was just trying to help out?! HAPPY TUESDAY LOVE THE JOLLIFFS

What.A.Cute.Girl.

Image
UHHHHH.... he's a boy! That is what we have been hearing for the last month or so about Sam. Lots of places we go people comment about how cute he is, but recently we have had alot of people mistake him for a girl. Now I correct them, politely of course, but I just don't get it. He is usually in some sort of blue and if we are out he usually has a baseball hat on. Today, two people at the store called him a girl. See pictures below... does that look like a girl to you? I don't think so. Though he has some blonde baby curls and big blue eyes that does not automatically qualify oneself as a girl. (sigh) Oh well I guess!!

Bounce.House.Fun.

Image
Sam had been going to VBS all this week along with Hap and I. Though he doesn't always like being in the "baby room" he does like being strolled around by Mrs. Rebecca and being able to play in the bounce house with the big kids. He really enjoyed getting in the bounce house and crawling around and bouncing (with assistance!) I am so thankful for great nursery workers that allow Hap and I to be able to serve and not to worry a thing about Sam!! So big thank you the blog stalking nursery workers... you are appreciated and loved:)

Birthday.Boy.Part.1.

Here are some pictures of Sam's birthday party. We celebrated his birthday with family on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Sam wasn't very interested in his gifts and didn't get interested in the cake until I fed him some on a spoon. Then he went crazy with the spoon and his hands. (We aren't sure this was a good idea as tonight he was a crazy man with the green beans!!) It was a fun day!

Birthday.Party.Preview.

Ok, I promise I will post some pictures of Sam's birthday party tomorrow. This coming week is Vacation Bible School and we were busy all day today at the church and preparing my lesson for tomorrow, so that leaves little time to blog. But, I will post lots and lots of pictures by tomorrow evening... so check back then for more pics and details!

1.Year.Old.

Image
What a difference a year makes?! I am just amazed that a year has passed since we welcomed this sweet little boy into our family and lives. It was kind of odd today as I worked four hours and being at the hospital when he exactly turned one year old! The memories seem so fresh in my mind and like it only happened days ago. I remember that when he was born people would say to enjoy each stage because they go so fast, and how true that is. From just laying there to smiling for the first time to crawling and walking each stage and moment is so special. I can't even imagine my life without Sam in it and I know Hap feels the same way. I could never have imagined one year ago just how much I would love him today and I know that our love for him will continue to grow as he does. More pictures to come tomorrow after his party! Happy Birthday Sam! A few facts about Sam... He loves to walk and run He eats everything and likes most foods He likes to help brush his teeth and feed himself wi...

Race.

Here is a picture of myself, Jen and Jay after the race! The run was fun... I think we should do it again. Maybe the Mini?
