Andrew is 2 Months Old today! 12lb (75%) and 24in long (90%) Probably no more posts for the week as we are leaving tonight to start out to Virginia for my brother's wedding on Saturday. We are very excited to be apart of their weekend and look forward to introducing Andrew to many Purcell's he has not met yet.

This weekend, Hap was ordained into the Ministry. This doesn't mean he is something "more special" but that the church is recognizing his call into full time ministry and bestowing blessing on him. (Simplistic, I know) So, we had lots of fun this weekend with family coming into town. On Saturday afternoon, Hap's parents, brother Zeb, Grandmother, and nephew Hunter came over. The guys went golfing and I never really did hear how everyone did. Later that afternoon, Aunt Sally and Uncle Neal came over. Hunter and Sam had an awesome time playing together. Hunter is a great older cousin to Sam. We went out to eat that evening and then headed to bed. Hunter stayed with us and Sam had his first slumber party at his house:) Hunter sleeps a little later than Sam does and so Sunday morning Sam was trying to wake him up by throwing his stuffed animals at him! Today we headed to the Pike Twp Fire Safety Show. Sam is SO into firetrucks and he was loving every minute of it. Here the boys are before heading out for the day! So cute (well, I think!) Sam was able to climb on all the firetrucks and even "drive" them. He is now officially a Junior Firefighter! "This firefighter stuff is serious business... no time to smile!" For those of you who live in the Indy area, check out the Indy Star North on Thursday for Sam's picture:) (At least that is what the photographer thought.)

Sam, Andrew and I headed to the zoo this week. This was the first time I had went to the zoo by myself with the two little guys and everything went really well. It was overcast and cool and there were not many people at the zoo, which was great for Sam to run around a little more free! This is how we rolled the whole time and it worked out great. Sam could hop on and off as he desired:) We fed the giraffes, watched the seals splash, heard the monkies talk and threw bread to the ducks. However, Sam's favorite thing at the zoo this trip, the backhoes preparing for the Cheetah exhibit. He could have watched them all day long! This little guy, looking big in this picture, enjoyed his trip to the zoo also!

of funniness around here!! This morning, Hap was changing what he called "a very heavy, poopy diaper" courtesy of Andrew while Sam looked on. Hap realized he was using the last wipe, bent down (without covering Andrew up) to get more wipes. While refilling the box, he felt wetness on his leg and realized Andrew was peeing on his leg with his super-stream! He quickly cleaned Andrew up and (again without covering Andrew up) went back to refilling the wipes container. He looked up and realized Andrew was yet again going to the bathroom, but his stream was going right onto Sam's head!! hehe!! Hap learned a lesson and I had a good laugh:) Pictures from the zoo to come... stay posted!

We enjoy our backyard SOOOO much! It was what sold us on the house. Hap has created a little play area in the dirt for Sam and he loves it. He could spend hours down there. It is great that I can sit on the deck with Andrew and watch him play. Such fun! And check out Andrew's smile! What a charmer:)

Hap's birthday was on Friday and we celebrated with a Cowboy Extravaganza:) Topped off with BBQ Chicken and baked beans. My cake tasted yummy, but the icing melted off the sides (not sure what happened there!) Hap looking as young as ever with his two boys! Sam didn't want to have his picture taken, can you tell? The three good buddies ate outside and enjoyed some cake and icecream. Can't wait until Caleb and Andrew can join the crew. We then had lasso lessons from the resident cowboy, Hap. Adam was brave and went first, he might want to stick to delivering babies:) Ben was pretty good and I am convinced he practiced prior to coming over to impress everyone! Amanda probably can't really lasso anything moving since her eyes were closed... hehe! And Susan, well she has some mad skill also! Andrew is such a sweet baby!! He has really started to smile more and I am desperate to catch it on camera. The picture below is about as good as I have gotten! He is getting so big, he's 7 weeks today. He seems to be filling out and getting longer by the minute. "You want me to do what?" We have been busy the last few days getting Sam's toys organized. He has more toys than one boy should have and that one boy can play with (thankfully he has a brother that will be playing soon). Since we only have one living space, I was getting sick of seeing toys everywhere. So, all the toys have been moved into Sam's room, with the exception of the basketball goal. He seems to be enjoying the toys in his room and I certainly enjoy how the house looks:)

Sam is really enjoying his Preschool. I think his favorite part is since the school is just across the street, he gets to ride his bicycle to school. He says "me me bicycle school" whenever he sees his bicycle, sees his school or the thought just crosses his mind:) He is SUCH a big boy! Happy Tuesday to you all!

My faithful blog readers, let me start off by apologizing for not blogging ALL week. What you must have thought of me!!:) I just don't know where the week has gone, between spit up, dirty diapers, laundry, cooking, church, dirty diapers, meetings, bible study, and dirty diapers! So, here you have a recap of our week... Sunday: We have been receiving meals about twice a week since Andrew was born. It is such a wonderful gift to receive!! The Long's, however, volunteered to watch the boys so that Hap and I could have date. So, Sunday night we left the boys for a few hours and enjoyed a wonderful time together and great food at Weber Grill. Sam enjoyed having three older "brothers" to play with and Andrew was snoozing when we returned to their house! Monday: Hap went to the church to have a productive day of studying and work alone in the office. My parents decided to come over for the afternoon.
