Busy Couple Days

We have had a busy couple days trying to get everything together for our trip. My mother came over the end of last week and it has been so helpful. I have been able to do errands and gather our needed supplies for the trip. I haven't taken many pictures but we have had a fun time and the boys have enjoyed their time as well. Friday we did the majority of our packing and tonight we are going to finish up. Yesterday, we enjoyed some time at a playground in the morning. In the afternoon, my mom and Sam went to see Toy Story 3 (his first big screen movie) while Hap, Andrew and myself went to a birthday party. Sam got these glasses pictured below at Wendy's yesterday and we might try and see if security stops him in the airport:) This evening we had our last team meeting and it was a wonderful time of praying and sharing about what God has been teaching us as we prepare for this trip.
We know that it seems odd to some that we would take our children literally half way around the world, to a third world closed country but we know that God has called us to go. We want our lives to be a testimony not only to others but to our children as well. We want missions to be something that we, as a family, do together and not just something that mom and dad do. We want to be able to testify to those we meet about the gift He has given us in our two boys and to share the hope that God wants us all in His family, to call us believers His children. We know God has planned each layover, each person we sit next to on the plane, each sleepless night, each village we hike to who have never heard the name of Jesus to bring Him glory.
Please be in prayer for the following things as we head out on Tuesday.
- Pray for J&A as they make final preparations for our arrival.
- Pray for endurance and unity for our family and the team.
- Pray for hearts to be softened to the gospel message.
- Pray we would be willing to do whatever it takes to share the gospel to unreached peoples.
- Pray for our boldness to share the gospel with those around us.
I so look forward to sharing with you on our return in two weeks. I might have 1 more blog post, but we'll see.
Love you all!!!

We will be praying for you all! I know God has great things in store for your family. There is no better place to be than exactly where God tells you to be. Can't wait to hear from you when you get back.

I am excited that you are willing to follow God's direction in your life. As a family you will make a positive impact on the people you meet. I will be interested to hear from you about what you have discovered about yourself, about Hap and about the boys because of this trip. Even more interesting will be what you discover about God and His faithfulness. In my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Dad P.
