Twin Talk: 1 Month

Today our sweet twins turn 1 month old!

Abram,  You are such a precious gift!  You are a laid back little guy.  You like to be cuddled but you are also very content to lay under the play mat and look at toys.  You enjoy being on your tummy and have even napped a few times in that position.  You are a great nurser and don't prefer your pacifier at all!  You rarely cry and when you do, it is a hoarse, sad cry.  Your brother's love you more than you know and always want to kiss you, you have great big brothers!  We are so thankful for you and are so glad you are now our baby boy, Abram!

Oh Abigail, we could never have imagined having a baby girl but we are so very thankful that God choose us to be your parents.  You are so alert and enjoy looking around, that is if you are in our arms.  You don't like being flat on your back but really enjoy the  bouncy chair and will nap well in that chair as well.  You like to cuddle with us and your brother.  It is a good thing you are a twin because you like to sleep close to your brother, with your heads together.  Your brothers love that they have a sister and are so gentle with you.  We love you, Abigail!  

When asked "how are you doing?", I can truly reply "great!" and that is because of how gracious and good God has been over the last month of our lives. Of course, we are tired and it is busy with two babies (plus three big boys!) but He answered every prayer that I prayed in relation to the twins delivery, health, and coming home.  The babies are so wonderful.  I have absolutely nothing to complain about and I feel so overwhelmingly grateful to the Father for all that He has given us!

Caleb says happy birthday, they are cute babies. He said Abram is licking Abigail. I said he is hungry and is looking for his milk, and he CRACKED UP! Love you.

Today was the first day of cross country season for the Junior High team.  The thing about XC is that the work is put in during the summer months with early morning runs, afternoon runs, track workouts, and hill repeats.  All that work starts to become evident during these days when the races start. Jacob woke up feeling excited to get the season started.  Abigail work up at 5:48am to fix her hair and get ready for the bus.  Abram was pretty nervous as he woke up. 5th grade girls The kids ran their hearts out and did so well for the first meet. Jacob placed 2nd for his team and 3rd overall to help the boys varsity team clutch 1st place for Varsity Boys team.  Abigail looked strong and had an overall 4th place finish for the JV girls and placed 2nd for her team. Abram looked blocked it at the beginning but certainly made up for it with a strong ending to finish 1st place in the JV boys race. Let's go Tigers!

Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass. First Day or School 2025

Summer flew by, as it always does, and we are looking forward to a great school year! I forgot a group shot because Sam had Senior Sunrise Breakfast on the first day and was up and going to school at 6:30am!
