First Day of School

Saturday was the first day of school for Sam and Andrew.  They were both very excited to get back into the routine of school and to see their friends!

Sam is entering the 2nd grade.

Andrew is entering Kindergarten.  Despite his picture, he was VERY excited.

There, that is better!

The boys are excited to be at the same campus this year, though they are in different buildings.

Andrew walked right into his classroom and took a seat.  He has the same teacher that Sam had during Kindergarten and was very excited.  When he came home from school, he was also very excited that his friend Sammy was in his class.  He said "I heard my name being called and when I turned around I saw Sammy behind me.  I said "SAMMY!" and then we held hands!!"

I think this is going to be another great year for Andrew.

Sam also walked into his classroom and took a seat in the back of the class.  We learned on the first day of school that he has the same teacher, Ms. Mimi, as last year.  Apparently the teachers and the class move up together.  We are thankful for this because she knows Sam and understands his strengths and weaknesses in being a foreign student.  He came home happy from school and we pray that his year is wonderful for him!

While all his classes, besides his language classes, are taught in Arabic, one day 5 out of 7 classes are a language.  On that day he has 2 German classes, English, and 2 Arabic classes!  That wears me out just typing it!

We are so proud of the boys and know that God's grace will carry them through another school year!
