Today was my dad's last day here and we decided to spend our time at the zoo.  The weather was perfect and not many people were at the zoo, which is great for the boys to run around freely! Jacob explored so much and didn't want to use the stroller, which his brother's liked since they wanted pushed:) We totally wore the boys out! The boys went to bed early tonight. I dropped my dad off at the airport. We had an amazing visit with him but feel sad about saying goodbye again. More pictures from his trip coming this week. Goodnight:)

I wanted to share some pictures from yesterday.  We had a full day and drove in the car a decent amount to visit a new state park and the place in which Jesus asked Peter "Who do people say that the son of man is?" This place was also a place of ancient pagan worship.  In the cliff are still the places in which they would have a statue of a god or goddess to worship. The park is beautiful, we hope to visit it again and do more hiking. We did a little bit of hiking around.  We all had a great time being outside.  Since all of the rain, the river was flowing fast and loud! I didn't post a picture of the suspended trail probably because I couldn't take a picture since I was a nervous wreck that the kids were going to fall into the river from the suspended trail.  Andrew's hand was bright red from my dad squeezing it so tightly and Sam walked as close to the wall as I could make him. Like I said, it was loud and we were g...

We have had an adventurous 36 hours!  I took over 300 pictures and am very tired from all the fun but just wanted to post a few "teaser" pictures of our time.  The weather was beautiful and the boys did great.  More pictures and narrative to come soon, enjoy:)

Happy Valentine's Day to my love and partner for a lifetime! Dad, Sam, and Andrew worked on Valentine's cards for his teachers at school.  They had a fun, messy time with glue! If I had the money I would send a dozen roses to each of you that check my blog but delivery overseas is pretty expensive!  So a big THANK YOU for checking the blog will have to do this year! Happy Valentine's Day XOXOXO

Today we continued some touring with my dad and had a great day!  The weather turned out sunny and pleasant. The place of Jesus praying before his death. The place of Jesus healing the sick man. You could go to the Old City many times and notice different things.  I love looking at all the mosaics and the art work in the different churches that commemorate events in the life of Jesus. My dad is a good little traveler and goes along with the tour guide:) The Old City is so colorful and full of life.  We had a nice time wandering around together. A spice market and a place to buy some turkish coffee.  You can buy anything you ever wanted or thought you wanted or didn't need in this part of the market. This sign cracks me up.  I have seen it twice and both times I laugh! The tomb is empty!  Every time I go to this place, I am reminded of the gift of Jesus and His sacrifice! We ended the da...

This morning while Hap was in language, my dad and I did some touring around town.  We did plenty of walking, I showed him the fruit stand I use, as well as the local grocery store.  We wondered around to a dead end where a woman opened her shop up and told us her story and opinions.  It was very interesting.   After this, we walked up (a big hill!!!) to pick up Sam from school.  Sam enjoys walking home from school, probably because it is all downhill. On our way back he climbed around some rocks! The three of us picked the little two up and then met Hap at some local fields where the guys explored some caves. I really love the inside of this church because the pictures on the walls are beautiful! We ate a delicious lunch of falafal.  We all walked away stuffed and dad enjoyed another traditional dish. Andrew, my dad and myself went to see the birthplace of Christ while Hap and the other two boys headed home to rest. ...
