1/2 year

Andrew is 1/2 year old today!! It has flown by and we are falling more and more in love with Andrew with every passing day. Getting his picture is a little more difficult these day:) We started off strong... Then he spotted the sign and it was all over from there! "Mom, this tastes horrible!" What is Andrew up to at 6 months? Andrew nurses every 3 1/2 hours and eat three meals a day. Andrew likes sweet potato and apples the best of all the food. He enjoys munching on Mum-mums and trying to get little cherrios in his mouth. Andrew prefers to be in the room where we are at, otherwise, he is starting to fuss when you leave his sight. Andrew is sitting up on his own and reaching for his toys. Actually, Andrew is reaching for everything- your mouth, glasses, ear rings, necklaces, etc. Andrew is getting up into a crawling position and rocking and rocking, but he hasn't moved anywhere yet (thankfully!!) Andrew goes to sleep around 8:15 and still gets up once a night, but s...

6 month stats

Andrew had his 6 month well baby check today (even though he is officially 6 months on Friday). He received the seal of approval from his doctor and is growing like a weed. His stats: Weight- 16lb 1oz (25%) Length- 27 1/4 in (75%) As a disclaimer, he isn't always in his seat in the kitchen, it just appears that way on the blog. He likes he seat, watching mommy cook, do dishes, sing and today he enjoyed watching his big brother make snakes and pizza with his Play-Doh. He also saw him stick it in his hair and ears, but Andrew promises he will never do that!

Shopping and a Cup

Sam decided to go to the store today and "shop" while I was cleaning out his closet. He cracked me up because he had the list of what he was buying... apple juice, waffles, mac and cheese. I'm lovin' Sam's bag!! Andrew getting some brotherly love and he is actually happy about it:) Andrew received a new cup for Christmas and I pulled it out today to let him play with it. I put some water in it and while he didn't get any water out, but he did enjoy chewing on the spout. I just love this picture, with his drool on his chin and smiling at himself in the sliding door. He's so precious! Happy Tuesday!!

Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!

Last night, Hap and I had date night! For my birthday Hap was going to purchase IU basketball tickets for me, but because of some circumstances we never got them bought, but we had tickets given to us from Courtney's mom, BJ. We had awesome seats at center court and a great time. Sadly, the Hoosiers didn't pull off a win but we had a great time together.

Just a Saturday

This blog post isn't exciting, in fact it is kinda boring but here you go... Today I woke up to the sound of Sam saying "hi Annew" and I found this when I finally popped out of bed. Hap was already gone to Upward (week #2) and Sam was giving Andrew a wakeup call! We headed to the gym and then to the mall to play with Lucas, Micah, Caleb, Adam and Susan. The boys had fun and Sam got to ride the Bob the Builder ride:) From the mall, we headed to visit Daddy at the gym and have a healthy lunch of hotdogs and nachos. Mmmmm... yes Upward has started! Sam was so excited to see Daddy and to wear his Upward basketball shirt! On our way home, we stopped and fed some ducks in Broad Ripple. Sam has been wanting to stop and I finally had some old bread to feed them. To say these ducks were hungry is an understatement. And in fact, there is no pictures of Sam's face because I was a little scared of one duck!! Sam however, loved them and wanted to pet them. We'll have...

This and That

I have a variety of pictures from our last couple days. Andrew had a taste of his first Mum-Mum. He liked it and it is big enough for him to lift up and put into his mouth on his own! It's a big day around here:) I go to bible study on Friday morning at church and thankfully we offer childcare for it. I am so grateful for the two ladies that care for the kids (all boys actually!). If there wasn't childcare, us moms wouldn't be able to enjoy the time! Having said that, today I had a funny experience when I picked up the boys. One of the ladies came out into the hall and whispers "I had to change Andrew's diaper and the other lady (waving her thumb back into the room) gave me a diaper, I'm not sure it is right, but hopefully it holds it all in." Well I just responded that I am sure it is fine, thinking that it was probably just Caleb's diaper or something. Well, when I got home I found this... He was wearing one of Sam's Pull-Ups!! haha....

Funny Man

Sam says some funny things. We are always laughing with him at what comes out of his mouth. The past two days, he has really made me laugh with two things he has said. I crack up each time I think of these words... 1. Yesterday at dinner we were getting ready to eat and I told Sam it was time to pray. He was going to repeat after me so we prayed "Thank you God for this food, thank you God for my brother Andrew, thank you God for daddy, thank you God for Jesus and in your name we pray Amen." He did really well following along up until I repeated the last phrase and out came "in Sam name pray Amen." Ha... maybe I should be more specific in whose name we pray!! 2. Today, we were going through a book with some family faces and I was asking who people where. He was saying daddy, Andrew, grandma, etc and I said to him "what is my name" and he replied "mommy Jolliff." It cracked me up. I guess my first name is now officially "Mommy...
