Last week the twin's class went to the local pumpkin patch for a morning full of petting animals, trying apple cider, and picking out a pumpkin.  I was out of town but Hap was able to enjoy the morning with them.  We continue to be so thankful for the preschool the twins are in and know they are learning so much and enjoying the time!  Sweetest picture at the pumpkin patch!

Last week in Nashville, my friend made us some delicious fall granola and I had to try it this week!  It's super easy and delicious, in my opinion, so I thought I would share the recipe on here. You will need:  3 cups old fashioned oats 1 cup sunflower seeds 1 1/2 cup roughly chopped pecans 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1/2 cup olive oil 1 teaspoon cinnamon First mix together the pure maple syrup, olive oil, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Chop your pecans up and add them to the rolled oats and sunflower seeds.  As a side note, next time I would add more pecans- maybe up the total to 2 cups. Pour the liquid on top of the dry ingredients and spread out on a baking sheet with either a baking mat or parchment paper on the baking sheet.  Place in 300 degree oven for 15 minutes. We had an eventful week last week.  A friend and I went down to Nashville to visit with another friend for two nights.  It was such a fun trip.  We laughed a lot, cried a bit, and did some shopping.  Love these two friends and enjoyed our time so much I didn't take many pictures! On Friday night, I caught back up with the family in Salem to watch the Freeburg vs. Salem football game.  We had a quick trip to Don and Suzanne's for some Halloween treats!  Andrew and Sam mostly played with friends on the Freeburg side of the field and we sat on the Salem side. On Saturday morning, the twins went with my mom to their last soccer game while the other five of us headed back to Nashville to be with friends at a church.  While I was sad to miss their last soccer game, I'm thankful for this sweet picture!  Love these two. Last week the preschool class learned all about fire safety.  This week the firemen came for a visit.  The twins were excited to tell us all about the fire truck, the fire gear, and spraying the fire hose.  They sure love preschool!

Since we only had the twins on Sunday, we enjoyed a bit of two-on-two time with them and it was so sweet.  Since the first week we arrived back in the States, Abram has been asking to stop "at the carriage with the horses" at a window factory that we frequently pass.  For whatever reason, we haven't stopped but Sunday was the day and Abram was thrilled! They have a large ape and baby ape dressed in their Cardinals gear we needed a picture by, also! These two love to pose together!  I adore this picture!! And finally the long awaited horse drawn carriage! They enjoyed a smoothie from McDonald's on the way home from the carriage. And some new footie pajamas to wrap up the weekend! Sweetest twins!

The kids didn't have school on Friday, so Thursday evening we headed to Patoka for two nights.  Jessica got a cake with my picture on it to celebrate graduation.  It was very thoughtful and delicious, too!  Hap headed to the Cardinals game with his brother that evening, so we had a little sneak peak before eating the cake after dinner! It was a rainy, rainy Friday but when the sun came out, the kids went out also! Beau has several bottle-fed calves and Abram waited patiently all day to feed the calves.  Dane and Abram were Beau's helpers for the evening! That same evening, Sam went deer hunting with Hunter, Lexi, and Beau.  He did the same thing early the next morning with Uncle Jay. Early morning picture! And he saw a deer shot and killed by Beau!
