Jolliffs in December

My cousins arrived yesterday and today we toured Bethlehem.  Needless to say, Bethlehem was one busy place on Christmas Eve!  Sam came along for the fun and had an absolute blast with Michael and Catherine. One of the tourist shops had a big camel that the boys were able to sit on. I had never noticed this statue of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus before but it is beautiful.  My camera phone doesn't do it justice! The boys having their picture with Santa holding their Fanta ;) Merry Christmas Eve!

The boys opened up two more gifts from their grandma and Papa.  They were all smiles (and goofy faces) opening them up. Whoo hoo!  Matchbox cars.  The boys love matchbox cars and have such a great time playing with them. Abram and Abigail received some books.  Abram was already interested in looking through one ;) Then later they opened up some cute shirts Thanks for the fun gifts!

We celebrated a low key 1st birthday for the babies yesterday.  Hap was teaching and most of our American friends are out of the country.  However, I still decorated, we enjoyed cupcakes, and watching the babies open presents!  It was a perfect day of celebrating our little ones. Abram was NOT a fan of the firework candles.  In his defense, he was not feeling 100% yesterday and in our defense we did have the heaters on ;) Abigail enjoyed her cupcake. Abram was a little tentative at first but after he had a taste of icing he decided he liked his birthday cupcake. The big brothers were thrilled to celebrate the twins. After a warm bath, it was present opening time.  Abigail tore into the packages and Abram observed mostly. It was a fun day for the twins to turn 1 and we are looking forward to watching them grow and develop and change over the next 12 mo...

Twin Talk: 1 Year Old

Image
One year ago we welcomed two of the biggest blessings into our arms and lives!  Abigail Louise and Abram Carl have forever changed our family and we are so grateful for them! I have been a little sentimental over the last few weeks and have been taking time to look back at old blog posts and pictures.  This is definitely one of my most favourite pictures from one year ago today!  Looking over from the hospital bed and seeing Hap falling so in love with our twins made my heart want to bust out of my chest. And so today, we celebrate 1 year!   More smiles, more dirty diapers, more cuddles, more sleepless nights, more sweetness, more giggles, more love than we ever could have imagined. Dearest Abigail.  You made my dreams came true when you were born.  There truly is something special about having a daughter and I am so glad that God choose your daddy and I to be your parents.  You are a giggly and happy little girl.  You have reall...
