Pure.Sweetness.

Yesterday I had the joy of meeting a little slice of heaven, Caleb Patrick. Our good friends Adam and Susan had Caleb on Friday night. He was just precious yesterday and know he will continue to grow sweeter with time. I am around babies alot and it never ceases to amaze me how perfect they are. Their creased feet, their sweet yawns, their soft hair, their eyes squinting open... it's just wonderful! Hap can't wait to meet him and Sam can't wait to kiss all over him:) And I can't wait to get my hands on him again!! Congratulations Adam, Susan, Lucas and Micah! Welcome Caleb Patrick!

Today started off wonderfully. Hap let me sleep in and I baked the egg casserole that I had prepared the night before. We ate as a family and enjoyed sometime together this morning before Hap went to work around 9ish. Before Hap left for work and while I was cleaning up the kitchen, Hap was in charge for a bit. Well, here is what I found lurking in the bath tub... a little boy with soap on his face and fingers:) Busted... After that, I decided we needed to get outside and enjoy the day a little. So, we headed to the zoo for a few hours. Sam really enjoyed himself today!! He LOVED the oceans area where you can watch the fish swim around. He stood for a long time and watched the sharks and the penguins swim around. He also enjoyed sticking his tongue out when we were looking at the giraffes because they were sticking their tongues out to eat. Then we topped it off with the elephants. They were the most active I have ever seen, active in an elephant sense of course. Another...

This weekend was a fun weekend. Carl and Jessica came over and watched Sam on Saturday while I worked. Sam enjoyed leading them around and showing them everything. It was a good time had by everyone and we appreciate them coming over for the day! Sam and I headed to a birthday party that evening, but I didn't get any pictures of the festivities, but Sam enjoyed walking outside and looking for the dogs. Yesterday, after naptime (for everyone!!) the boys went outside and played and I baked them some cookies. It was rainy here but they enjoyed sometime outside anyway and enjoyed making a mess with milk and cookies:) Some more dad-son bonding time by reading in Sam's room while I cleaned up dishes from dinner tonight.

Grocery.Trip.

Well, I guess I am one of "those moms" You know the ones, the ones with the big shopping carts with the kids in it taking up the whole aisle way. Well, todays trip to Meyer I broke down and got the big cart. However, this cart was fancy with a TV and everything. You can lock the doors and the kids get to watch a movie while you shop in complete happiness. To Sam's delight, he watched 'Bob the Builder' while I picked up some essentials. I can't say that I'll be one of "those moms" every trip, maybe just today!

I really don't like cleaning the house. I mean, who really does? It is hard work to get things clean. I try to put it off to the last possible opportunity, until I can take it no more. Well, I must have gotten to that point or realized that the bigger I get the harder it will be to clean the whole house in one day. So today Sam and I put on our rubber gloves and cleaned this place. We did the oven, the fridge, the bathrooms, everything. I say "we" because he was a good helper all day, with one break to watch a Barney DVD. He likes when we vacuum and says "push" until you let him do it, so since he is free labor... besides room and board... I let him go at it:) I knew he was done when he threw his broom down (thank you Ben and Amanda) and started dancing around. It was the we're finished dance apparently.

Easter.Day.

We celebrated Easter today with a wonderful worship service and a big ole feast of food afterwards with Ben and Amanda. Sam enjoyed opening his eggs (no hunt since yesterday was a bust) filled with Little People!! Sam entertained the K's with his faces during dinner and some dishrag Peek-A-Boo! We enjoyed celebrating this Resurrection Sunday but know that this is just a holiday, a single day, but that the Resurrection of Christ lives within each believer daily. We don't have to contain "Easter" to one Sunday a year but that this day serves as a reminder for us to daily be thankful for the death, burial and resurrection of the one who paid it all for our sins, Jesus Christ. Happy Resurrection Sunday! Is this mike on? Little People!! whoo hoo

We celebrated Easter yesterday with the Jolliff's and enjoyed a beautiful day! Sam loved to see the "moo moos" and play with his cousins! He really enjoys following them around and they are so good with him too. Sam wasn't much into the Easter Egg hunt but has enjoyed some of the "fruits of the eggs" today (aka CANDY!). I also attended a baby shower for a girlfriend of mine yesterday afternoon and had a great time. Sara, Becky, Jennifer and I were good friends throughout Jr. High and High School and we had a good time laughing at memories of ourselves yesterday. Can't wait to meet Baby Collier! We had a fun Saturday celebrating in many ways! Sam checking out the cows... or the cow checking him out?! Helping feed the cats. Can you see their litte eyes? Sam giving Beau the once over. They all like to eat together! The next two pictures show they are such good cousins. Beau giving Sam some much needed help during the Easter Egg hunt! Maybe next year h...
