Hello!

I think we are all unpacked and getting into the swing of things. Kids started back to school on Saturday and were very excited to be going back. They have missed their friends and last week was really rainy, so mostly inside playtime.

I wanted to share a few pictures of our house. We are thankful to be in our home and are staying pretty warm with the fireplace! This was the before picture while we were unpacking. Along with unpacking, we went through all of our boxes, decorations, clothes, paperwork and did a bunch of purging of stuff. Hap really got into it and it's no secret that purging is one of my love languages :). It feels really good to be emptied out a bit and loving everything in our home again.

And after. We have a picture coming for above the church pew and my quilt isn't out yet on the pew because it needs washed but otherwise, we are situated.

We shopped our own house and moved the desk out to the kitchen so that we have a dedicated study space for the kids. I also ordered a new canvas for my wall from the pictures we had over the summer. Love these 5 so much!

Jacob's school art is a new addition to our house. He is so proud and it's fun to see him showing people his art.

In addition to the many items we have that we have collected on our travels over the years, we also have lots of fun family things around our house. We have had this fan for a few years and I just love it. It is from Hap's great-grandfather's, whom Hap was named after, general store. It's old and meaningful. The candle sticks are from here and the pomegranate is from an Israeli artist.

We also have real pomegranates that are amazing. This bowl is made from black hickory wood from Hyden, Kentucky. This is from the same woods that Frontier Nursing University is situated in.

We also brought back two new family treasures. The plate is from my Grandma Purcell and the brown bowl was my Grandma Rose's. I just love them and they make me smile when I see them. I'm a big fan of an actual cookbook and if you haven't tried The Pioneer Woman yet, you should. She is simple and amazing. My favorite is the orange copy, if you are wondering! This little shelf is in our kitchen above the window.
