Pictures of Life
I have a bunch of pictures from everyday life in these parts to share. We are getting into the routine of school and tutoring and visits as we settle in. Life is blessed!
When all the boys play together it is so much fun! They are still entertained with their toys. We switched out some "new" ones last weekend!
The boys are taking one responsibility. They have learned to make their own toast, sandwiches, and to wash dishes! It is very helpful.
Pulling up on EVERYTHING!
And Abigail likes to get herself in funny places!
We put some old food boxes and measuring cups out for the babies to enjoy while we are in the kitchen working. They love playing in this box.
Sam is really enjoying reading these days and nights! I have been waiting for the day he wants to stay up reading. He has his lanterns on and is reading a book about George Washington. He is really into American history and learning about people right now. SO proud of this boy!
I have made bread a few times this week. I tried a new recipe for foccaccia and it was pretty good.
Homework takes up a lot of our time in the afternoons. Sam always has at least an hour of work to do and sometimes tutoring on top of that for Arabic. He has such a great attitude this school year and is enjoying school, even though it is tough! He is working on his math train.
We have been dealing with a sandstorm that hit across the region this week. Frankly, it is nasty outside. The air is heavy with sand and it literally feels like a curtain that needs to be separated when you walk outside. Andrew and Jacob are really dealing with upper respiratory stuff with all the gunk in the air. Here is a satellite picture of the region.
And here is a picture from town! They are saying the sand should all the out of here by Sunday... one can hope!
"Squash is SOOOO boring mom!"
And one from the breakfast club this morning!
It's been a good week!
