Happy 4th Birthday, Sam!

How in the world can Sam be four years old?  Four years ago, Hap and I marveled at the new life given to us and we are still marveling at the gift Sam is to our home!

Today was full of things Sam loves.  Cinnamon rolls for breakfast and playing with Hap in the morning.  Then Andrew, Sam and I went swimming for the afternoon.  Sam loves to go down the slide, swim under water and sit on the fountain.  Then tonight, we had a small family party in celebration of Sam's life!

 How can there be four candles???
 We also ate everything Sam likes for dinner... hot dogs, mac and cheese and strawberries!  A delicious meal for a four year old:)
 Then it was onto the presents!


 Andrew was so patient while Sam opened up all his presents.
 Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you.  Happy Birthday dear Sam!!  Happy Birthday to you!

So glad you all had a great day! Hard to believe four years has gone by so fast. Maybe the next four will zoom by as time does have a way of flying. Look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Andrew was very patient. His turn is coming in couple of weeks.

Busy Couple Days

We have had a busy couple days trying to get everything together for our trip. My mother came over the end of last week and it has been so helpful. I have been able to do errands and gather our needed supplies for the trip. I haven't taken many pictures but we have had a fun time and the boys have enjoyed their time as well. Friday we did the majority of our packing and tonight we are going to finish up. Yesterday, we enjoyed some time at a playground in the morning. In the afternoon, my mom and Sam went to see Toy Story 3 (his first big screen movie) while Hap, Andrew and myself went to a birthday party. Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass.
