Visit with Jordan Purcells

Image
In Mid-January, our family was able to meet Nathan, Heather, Caleb, and Benjamin in the northern part of the country for an overnight.  We stayed at a great kibbutz.  A kibbutz is a communal living community.  We ate breakfast in a large cafeteria style building, we passed a school in the community, and this specific kibbutz has two cabins to make income.  It was a perfect place to stay.  On Sunday, we traveled to the very northern edge of the Israeli Mediterranean Sea to an area called Rosh Hanikra.  Rosh Hanikra is located on the border of Israel and Lebanon. The area is literally on the rocks of the sea and the sea has caved grottos in the rock. It's hard to see but mid picture there is a small yellow float that is the border between Israel and Lebanon. The train track was still present.  This train was a main trading route between Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Egypt, and into Africa.  In 194...

Zoo Trip

Image
It's rare to get to spend time with just the twins since they are in preschool full time.  They had a few extra days off school after their brother's went back and one morning we had a zoo trip together.  It was so much fun and the weather was amazing for January.  I absolutely love watching them together and can't imagine life without them both, together! It was the first time we had ridden the train and they were big fans!

Sickness and Grandma's Visit

Image
After Christmas Day, I didn't take many pictures because we stayed inside were it was warm and took care of sick kids! We did play games by the fire and the kids are very fond of Uno now! We needed up taking the twins to the doctor on Wednesday.  Abram had bronchitis and an ear infection while Abigail had a throat infection.  They were sick!  The boys went to an indoor play area with my mom, went to the park with us, and one day went with Hap to ride bikes..... but I didn't get pictures of any of those things! We also play Bean Boozled one evening.  I think I lost when I pulled out canned dog food.  I gagged and it was disgusting! Abigail was a BIG fan of Grandma Betty! Jacob received a bracelet making kit for Christmas and worked on making a bracelet one morning. Despite the sickness and the inside time, we had a great visit with my mom.  She served our family well and loved on us all during her time.  Time goes qu...

Christmas Day

Image
The stockings were put on the couch with care doesn't have the same ring as "fireplace with care" but they were all ready the night before for the kids to wake up on Christmas morning! Everyone was excited for Christmas morning.  We opened stockings up first before eating breakfast. Abram didn't have time for a stocking picture and dug right in to find a Mac truck! After breakfast we opened up the presents under the tree that had been sent to us from the States or brought over!  The kids were so excited and so thankful. Sam checking out his new book he received.  This kid is excited about history and loved his many new books. It became clear early in the morning that the twins were getting sick and wouldn't be able to attend our Christmas get together with friends.  They both curled up and took a nap.  Abigail took her new Christmas purse and sparkly shoes and...
