Stuck in the Middle With You

I realized in my last post that I didn't post a single picture of Jacob!  Ugh!

Hap and I were recently talking about how it seems Jacob gets a little stuck being in the middle.  The twins get a lot of attention because they are less independent and talk more between the two of them than the rest of us combined :) and Sam and Andrew get attention because they need more help with homework.

On the flip side, Jacob doesn't need much help with homework and just gets it done, he is pretty independent and is happy to be by himself.  He can often be found reading or drawing quietly on his top bunk bed covered up with a big fuzzy blanket, even in the middle of summer!  However, what I have also noticed in Jacob thrives with a bit of one-on-one time.  He went to the grocery store and fruit market with just me last weekend and enjoyed it so much.  He actually enjoys reviewing homework with Hap or myself because it's a bit of one-on-one time.  Jacob also enjoys playing with just Andrew, no other kids around, and uses his great imagination to play.

Jacob is such a great kid and he handles being in the middle very well.  So, in honor of Jacob, an entire post just for him!!

Love this boy so very much!

Middle children are special - they can be with the youngest, the oldest, or just as happy alone. Jacob is so sweet :)
