Christmas Week
We have spent the last week with family and have enjoyed our time with them so much. The weather was lovely most of the week, which meant enjoying being outside and lots of sunshine.
We spent Sunday night until Wednesday morning at my parent's home in Salem. Abigail playing the piano on the same one I learned how to play on. Wish that piano would fit in my luggage!
Traditionally growing up we opened gifts on Christmas Eve. We continued that tradition this Christmas also. We had a delicious meal and then moved to the Christmas tree for their present. They each got one big present with two smaller ones inside.
Big presents equalled new carry-on luggage for each kid. They were excited.
The also received a neck pillow.
And an outfit to wear on the plane.
Santa, AKA my dad, showed up before making his trips to the nursing homes in Salem to see the kids.
I always enjoy being at my parent's home. It's a warm, welcoming place that we all enjoy resting and playing at. It was a fun few days and one we will remember in the years to come.
After Santa left, we headed to Patoka to be with the Jolliff family from Wednesday morning until Saturday morning. It's fun to be around the cousins and the weather continued to be warm enough to be outside. Evelyn and all her great grandkids.
Carl and Jessica with the grands on Christmas Day.
The kids enjoyed opening some more presents and watching everyone open their treasures up.
The kids all received a new ornament for the tree!
And new boots.
It's been so nice to be able to take lots of walks this week. This cute calf greeted me one evening.
One last visit to Gigi's house. Hap doesn't get his height from this grandma, does he?!
We also hit up some of Hunter's basketball games. These four might have just gone for the popcorn but I'll let you decide!
Fun to catch some basketball for his senior year.
We have had a wonderful week with family! We are thankful for the time and will look forward to the next time we are in Salem and Patoka with family.
