Around Here

The weather has been cold, icy, and rainy here over the last couple days.  The boys were out of school Monday and Tuesday for the weather but went back today.

Jacob brought home some play doh as a prize for having books read to him.  He said only 5 kids were in his class today because of the weather.
The Valentines decor came out last week and so the chalkboard was updated.

I made soup and rolls one snow day.  To let the rolls rise, I placed then close to the stove... the warmest spot in the house!

Everyone, including the twins, loved the rolls and requested them again!

We invited some friends over so that Hap could have a competitive game of Scrabble.  Beforehand he played kid scrabble with Sam.

Train track set up has been taking place lately.

We are so thankful for our stove, particularly when the electricity goes off.  We have had great success with our new electrical wiring but it did go off for the town a few times and we lost it but the stove kept us warm.

Here is to hoping the worst of the winter weather is passed... but it is probably wishful thinking ;)

You are keeping the home fires burning in more ways than one! The chalkboard is a perfect reminder during this season. It looks good. Good job Jacob on your reading. Who won the scrabble game? Keep snuggled and warm. Love, Dad and Mom

Scrabble, one of my favorite games to play, especially by a warm stove with yummy rolls and a house full of awesome kids.
Love to all
