Today we finished our intensive course at the local university.  At the beginning of the month I was dreading the class, wondering if it would be boring and dry.  Let me tell you, it was anything but!!  Our teacher truly has a passion for teaching language to foreign students.  He has spent his life developing teaching techniques and books to help in the process.  His style of teaching would NEVER go over in the States, he likes to hit the students if we make a mistake, he is a back rubber when he talks to the students, and frankly he makes fun of us while we learn (all in good nature of course!).

Our class was very interesting with students from England, Guatemala, Sweden, Germany, America, and Norway.  I enjoyed getting to know the other students and learning more about their customs and culture.  It truly is a great, big, diverse world!!

Meet our teacher :)
We received official certificates of completion of the Level 2 intensive class.  As part of our "graduation", the professor had written a play that we performed.  However, the class also wrote a little skit ,as a surprise, of what a normal class would be like and Hap was the professor.  What do you think of his hair??

Sam took this picture.  This is a mix of both Level 1 and Level 2.

This was truly an intense month of studying but one in which we know will help us greatly in our pursuit of learning the language!!

Now you know what you will look like in a few short years when your hair turns white. Proverbs16:31 makes it all worthwhile. Glad you got through that round and are ready for the next one. Photographer in our future with Sam? His Mom alreay is a great one! Love, Mom and Dad J
