Jacob: 11 Months

Jacob,
Big guy, what happened?  You turned 11 months today.  You are so sweet natured and bring such joy to our family.  You are still army crawling (quickly!!) around the house but pull up on anything you can possibly find and cruise around furniture.  You enjoy walking behind your push toy and it won't be long before you take off running, but for now, we enjoy you crawling around!!  You have started to climb on things... into baskets, the bottom shelf of the book shelf, chairs, and riding toys.
You are wearing a size 4 diaper.  You wear size 9-12 month clothes.  The outfit you are wearing today is 12 months.  I don't know exactly how much you weigh, I think about 20 lbs.  You enjoy eating all foods, but this week you have enjoyed cauliflower and green beans.  You only have your two lower teeth but will enjoy eating more once some more teeth come in.  

You have started drinking some juice but you can't quite get the hang of tipping your head back with the sippy cup.  You nurse about 4 times a day and eat three meals.  When you are at daycare you take 1 bottle and eat 1 meal.

You are very active but go to sleep wonderfully.  For nap time, we give you your blanket and turn on the crib mobile and you fall asleep with little or no crying.  You take two naps a day.  At night, mommy nurses you, lays you in the crib and then you are out with no fussing.  You still sleep in the crib in your brother's room.  You go to sleep about 8 or 8:30 and typically wake up around 6:30.  You have started sleeping through the night and on occasion will wake up around 3 am.

You love to play with balls of all sorts.  You throw the balls and then chase after them.  You still enjoy crawling after your brother's and watching everything they do.  We hope you are only picking up on the things they do that are good... not their bad behaviors!!:)  Your brother's love you soooooo much!  You love to be outside in the backpack with your daddy and don't like the stroller very much.

Jacob, you are awesome and we love you so much.  We thank God that he choose us to be your parents!!

Jacob you have grown so fast, and you you have learned to crawl and cruise even faster! You are a sweet, sweet boy. Don't let those older brother corrupt you(they won't). Love, Grandpa and Grandma P.

AJ Early Bird

Today was the first day of cross country season for the Junior High team.  The thing about XC is that the work is put in during the summer months with early morning runs, afternoon runs, track workouts, and hill repeats.  All that work starts to become evident during these days when the races start. Jacob woke up feeling excited to get the season started.  Abigail work up at 5:48am to fix her hair and get ready for the bus.  Abram was pretty nervous as he woke up. 5th grade girls The kids ran their hearts out and did so well for the first meet. Jacob placed 2nd for his team and 3rd overall to help the boys varsity team clutch 1st place for Varsity Boys team.  Abigail looked strong and had an overall 4th place finish for the JV girls and placed 2nd for her team. Abram looked blocked it at the beginning but certainly made up for it with a strong ending to finish 1st place in the JV boys race. Let's go Tigers!

Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass. Summer flew by, as it always does, and we are looking forward to a great school year! I forgot a group shot because Sam had Senior Sunrise Breakfast on the first day and was up and going to school at 6:30am!
