Jacob, Sweet Jacob

I took Jacob to the doctor this week because he was waking up a lot at night and started rubbing his ear again.  I went to a different doctor since the other one could not see us until today.  The clinic is very different than I am used to but very nice!  The doctor seemed very knowledgable and was great with Jacob.  He does have an slight ear infection but he did not put him on an antibiotic for now to see if his body will fight it off.

I really just wanted to update the blog with Jacob's weight.  He weighs 9kg or 19.8 pounds.  

He is getting so big and brings us such joy.  He is so content, especially now that he can crawl and pull up on anything he wants.  He chases after his brother's in his walker and smiles when smiled at, even with an ear infection.  I am praying this is his last ear infection.

I took some pictures of Jacob tonight for some special 9 month pictures.  I think they turned out great, here are a few of my favorites!

Today was the first day of cross country season for the Junior High team.  The thing about XC is that the work is put in during the summer months with early morning runs, afternoon runs, track workouts, and hill repeats.  All that work starts to become evident during these days when the races start. Jacob woke up feeling excited to get the season started.  Abigail work up at 5:48am to fix her hair and get ready for the bus.  Abram was pretty nervous as he woke up. 5th grade girls The kids ran their hearts out and did so well for the first meet. Jacob placed 2nd for his team and 3rd overall to help the boys varsity team clutch 1st place for Varsity Boys team.  Abigail looked strong and had an overall 4th place finish for the JV girls and placed 2nd for her team. Abram looked blocked it at the beginning but certainly made up for it with a strong ending to finish 1st place in the JV boys race. Let's go Tigers!

Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass.
