Nippy, Slippy Friday
Today has certainly been cold and icy around these parts. Hap and I spent the morning clearing out the house we are living in. It didn't seem like we had much stuff left, but there is always more than it appears! Since the boys spent the night in Patoka, Hap, Jacob and myself headed that direction mid morning.
The boys certainly had a good time! Last night they fell asleep with Grandma Jessica reading books. This morning they woke up to have Gigi cook them fried biscuits and chocolate milk. Then they took a tractor ride to feed the cows silage. The cows were fed twice because the boys wanted to feed them again:)
Zeb made an appearance for a rematch with the Nintendo. Today they played Double Dribble though and apparently Hap won again. Hap desires to be a carom champ, but Zeb remains unbeatable in that game!
This was the final trip to the farm before we leave. The farm is so peaceful. I love to hear Hap tell stories about what the farm looked like before his dad worked hard to fix it up. The boys gave lots of bear hugs and kisses before we said our goodbyes to Carl, Jessica, Zeb and Evelyn. We have said our share of goodbyes and it doesn't get easier!! We are all so thankful for the time we have had to spend together and will cherish the memories made and look forward to creating more memories together!
This afternoon, we returned to Salem to spend some time with my mom. We went to buy new basketball shoes for the boys and then played around the house. Bella came over for some play. Bella is from Albania and has not seen her family for three years, she knows how hard it is to leave! She has been such a good friend to Sam and Andrew. They love to play with her!
We had dinner with Jay, Jennifer, Hunter, Beau and Baby tonight at Pizza Hut. We ate our fare share of pizza and had our fare share of laughs. Tonight, Hunter was upset as we were leaving and Andrew asked "what Hunter hurt?" I replied that "Hunter's heart is hurting."
I think that summarizes us all!

"Be joyful always; pray continuously; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

We love you all!
