Sam's Time at the Farm

On Thursday, Sam loaded up with Hap and headed to the farm for a visit. He is all things boy, so the farm is such fun!! We heard he helped feed the cows with his own bucket, ride the mule, help Papa fix some tractors, and play with his cousins. We know he had a great time and we are glad he was able to spend the time with his grandma and papa. Here are some pictures from Jessica that she took over the last few days. Jennifer has some on her blog as well from Friday night at their house!

Yesterday, Hap, Andrew and I left in the morning to go back to pick Sam up. We were able to watch Hunter and Beau play their last game of soccer. They did great and it was fun to be able to enjoy that with them. We also had a quick visit with Aunt Dru and Melissa as they are in town for a few days. Andrew had never met them before and we were glad for the visit. Sam left the farm worn out yesterday and was asleep before we left town. Working on the farm is fun, hard work!!!:)

I am so thankful Sam and Andrew can experience a real farm. They will love going to Grandma and Papa's farm. What an experience and memories to last their whole life :)

Oh the joys of farm life! I wish every kid got to experience it!! Those will be some of his best memories!!! So glad you are making sure he gets to do all those things. Way to go Sam!! Logan is ready for your help anytime!! 3 litters of kittens too!

AJ Early Bird

Today was the first day of cross country season for the Junior High team.  The thing about XC is that the work is put in during the summer months with early morning runs, afternoon runs, track workouts, and hill repeats.  All that work starts to become evident during these days when the races start. Jacob woke up feeling excited to get the season started.  Abigail work up at 5:48am to fix her hair and get ready for the bus.  Abram was pretty nervous as he woke up. 5th grade girls The kids ran their hearts out and did so well for the first meet. Jacob placed 2nd for his team and 3rd overall to help the boys varsity team clutch 1st place for Varsity Boys team.  Abigail looked strong and had an overall 4th place finish for the JV girls and placed 2nd for her team. Abram looked blocked it at the beginning but certainly made up for it with a strong ending to finish 1st place in the JV boys race. Let's go Tigers!

Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass.
