Spring Fever

I am loving this weather!! Having the windows opened and feeling the gentle breeze blowing. The coolness of the morning and the warm evenings. The sun shining with no humidity. Oh, it's just great. I try and get the boys out to do something a few times a week and so today we went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and Lilly House. It is free and beautiful. We packed a picnic and headed there after school and the gym. Sam enjoyed riding his tricycle and Andrew enjoyed eating the grass he was crawling in:)

Sam had a fun time watching the fountain and feeling the mist blow on him. It was fun to watch him!

Most days Andrew is fine with me being out of his sight but not today. I had loads of laundry to do, so I just let him help me and he thought it was funny!

I love my boys and I love spending spring with them!

Wishing we had that weather here...I still get the kids out, but we battled a drizzly gray day! I love your boys too!

AJ Early Bird

Today was the first day of cross country season for the Junior High team.  The thing about XC is that the work is put in during the summer months with early morning runs, afternoon runs, track workouts, and hill repeats.  All that work starts to become evident during these days when the races start. Jacob woke up feeling excited to get the season started.  Abigail work up at 5:48am to fix her hair and get ready for the bus.  Abram was pretty nervous as he woke up. 5th grade girls The kids ran their hearts out and did so well for the first meet. Jacob placed 2nd for his team and 3rd overall to help the boys varsity team clutch 1st place for Varsity Boys team.  Abigail looked strong and had an overall 4th place finish for the JV girls and placed 2nd for her team. Abram looked blocked it at the beginning but certainly made up for it with a strong ending to finish 1st place in the JV boys race. Let's go Tigers!

Uncle Nathan, Aunt Heather and Caleb Visit

On Saturday, Nathan, Heather and Caleb came for a visit.  We had an absolutely beautiful day, and we wanted to spend the day outside.  Some people had recommended Maymont Park.  Maymont is a park that is hundreds of acres with a stone castle and barn, some animals, and lots of space for the boys to run around. Andrew wanted to get his boots wet and Aunt Heather supervised.  I am glad we crated more boots! The walk with beautiful and we enjoyed visiting along the way. There was lots of rock climbing... and lots of goats! Jacob and Caleb did a great job riding around in the strollers, but needed some time to stretch too! I love this picture of Nathan and Caleb.  He is such a great daddy and I love to see him with Caleb. Sam enjoyed a cigar at the park too.  (I joke!) The little babies ate some grass. Summer flew by, as it always does, and we are looking forward to a great school year! I forgot a group shot because Sam had Senior Sunrise Breakfast on the first day and was up and going to school at 6:30am!
